Action by plaintiff Edna Jensen against defendant Heritage Mutual Insurance Company to recover damages for personal injuries
sustained in an automobile collision, and an action by plaintiff Phyllis Stanley Wright against the same defendant to recover
damages for the wrongful death of her husband which occurred as a result of the same collision. The two actions were consolidated
for trial. The accident which gave rise to these actions occurred on the evening of July 26, 1960, on Highway 63 in rural Pierce county.
A northbound Nash automobile operated by one John Gustafson, and insured by defendant, collided head on with a southbound
Plymouth automobile driven by Lyle Stanley, husband of plaintiff Phyllis Stanley Wright. Both Stanley and Gustafson were killed
and plaintiff Edna Jensen, a passenger in the Plymouth, was severly injured.
